2016 Challenge

Round Robin

Check out the photo album at Facebook

Challenge Project participants will construct a finished quilt project constructed in round robin style, complete with temporary velcro hanging tabs that have been thread or safety pin basted along the backside top edge.

Projects will have a minimum circumference of 80” (a small project measuring 20” on each side would qualify). Of course you can choose to make a bed size, cuddle throw size, table runner, large duffle or tote bag, jacket, vest, or even a set of place mats. A quilt is defined as having three layers: front, batting and backing - layers secured with stitching by hand or machine.... you could even choose to tie your quilt.

Your project's design and fabrics are your choice. Projects will be started by one person and passed to three others for additions.

Yes, you may submit more than one challenge project.

Be creative. You may use any and all techniques: traditional piecing, applique, embellishment, thread painting, string piecing and any combination of techniques. Challenge yourself to learn or improve on a technique. Challenge yourself to use a color palette you do not ordinarily chose.

Projects to be completed, ready to show at our October 2016 meeting for display in our annual quilt show at the Lucas Mansion Gallery.

This committee hopes every guild member will participate – we are counting on you to make our annual quilt show a success!!
