Brushy Mountain Quilters
Guild was founded in 1986 by a group of Alexander County quilters. Our by-laws were officially adopted November 24,
1986.
Our Articles of Incorporation were filed March 21, 1995. We qualified as a Not for Profit Corporation
in the State of NC November 20, 1995 and received our Federal exemption documents July 18, 2000.
Membership in BMQG
is open to any person with a love of quilting and the desire to learn more or share their knowledge about the Art of Quilting;
on payment of the required dues.
Brushy Mountain Quilters Guild meets the fourth Monday night of each month at 7:00
pm in the Educational Complex of the Hiddenite Center which is located in the heart of Hiddenite, North Carolina. Turn
onto Hiddenite Church Street at the caution light - you will see a Hiddenite center sign at the intersection. Drive
north about one tenth of a mile, crossing over the railroad tracks, you will see the Educational Complex on your right.
Turn to the right onto Leach Street, then it is just a hop and a skip to the Center's parking lot.
